The Calm Before the Storm
Captain Adam had sailed these waters before. He knew the dangers, the risk of piracy that lingered in the back of his mind like an unwelcome shadow. But piracy was a thing of the past, wasn’t it? His superiors had assured him so. Pirates were no longer a major threat, and here he was, in the clear. Until now.

The two boats came closer, speeding towards the ship with a precision that sent a chill down Adam’s spine. The hardened captain knew immediately what was happening. “Pirates,” he muttered under his breath. His instincts kicked in. He hit the intercom, his voice booming through the ship. “All hands on deck! Prepare for action!”

His orders were sharp and quick, every crew member moving into position without hesitation. The ship’s engine roared to life as Adam adjusted the course, pushing the vessel into evasive maneuvers. He was no stranger to danger, but this was different. Pirates were ruthless—nothing was certain when it came to their tactics.
