Iona and Martin didn’t just buy a van and throw in some basic furniture – they completely overhauled the entire truck to create a cozy yet modern living space. The biggest challenge was transforming the exterior. The couple wanted to avoid the typical look of a truck with windows and instead create something sleek and modern. After extensive work on insulation and exterior design, the truck now boasts a contemporary grey look, far from its original canary yellow paint. This wasn’t just a cosmetic upgrade; it was about making the truck feel like a true home.
The interior is where the magic really happens. Iona and Martin didn’t settle for a basic setup. They installed a full kitchen, bathroom, and a living room area with a sofa and a bed that can fit their wardrobe and personal belongings. They even installed sliding doors between rooms to ensure privacy, something many full-sized apartments don’t have. The couple didn’t want to feel like they were living in a confined space; instead, they created a spacious, open plan that felt like a luxury apartment.
