Therapy on Zoom — The Modern Comfort Zone
When lockdowns hit, Zoom therapy became the new normal. At first, people doubted it — could a screen ever replace that in-person connection?
Surprisingly, for millions, the answer was yes.
Seeing your therapist’s face, hearing their tone, and being able to read their reactions gives you the comfort of traditional therapy — but without the commute, the waiting room, or the excuse to cancel because “traffic was bad.”
For busy parents, remote workers, or anyone with anxiety about leaving home, Zoom therapy offers a safe bridge between isolation and connection.

“It’s my peace hour,” one client said. “I close my laptop after work, open another tab, and talk to someone who actually listens.”
But it’s not for everyone. Some people find it harder to open up through a camera. Others miss the natural flow of real-life presence — the small silences, the shared energy.
Still, for many, Zoom therapy isn’t “less than.” It’s simply different — and often, more practical.
