Nature’s Unlikely Family
Over the next few days, the neighbors watched in awe as the puppy and the baby eagles grew closer. The eagle mother seemed to encourage the bond, leaving small rodents and other prey in the nest, which the puppy shared with the chicks.
At first, the Harrisons were heartbroken. Their puppy was gone, and they couldn’t help but feel that it had been taken away from them. But as they saw the puppy thriving in its new environment, their feelings began to shift. The bond between the puppy and the eagles was undeniable. It seemed that, somehow, the puppy had found its place within this wild family.
