Employees at a Burger King went out to the dumpsters and froze in horror. Lying on the concrete, hidden behind the trash bins, was a man.
He was completely naked, severely beaten, and unconscious. Worst of all, his body was covered in red fire ants, which were eating him alive.
Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, saving his life by a margin of minutes. But when he finally woke up, the doctors asked him the standard question: “What is your name?”
The man opened his mouth, but his mind was a blank void.
He didn’t know his name. He didn’t know where he came from. He didn’t remember a single day of his life.
The only thing he recalled was his birth date (which turned out to be true) and the name “Benjaman,” which floated in his subconscious. He invented the last name “Kyle.”
Thus, Benjaman Kyle was born—the only American citizen listed as “missing” while he was sitting right there in the room.
