After nine intense days in deep space, the four astronauts of NASA’s Artemis II mission have finally returned home — and the world watched in suspense until the very last second.
Their spacecraft, Orion, tore through Earth’s atmosphere at over 24,000 mph, glowing like a meteor as temperatures outside surged to nearly half the heat of the Sun’s surface. For six long minutes, there was complete silence — no signal, no confirmation, just uncertainty.
