The Pirate Attack: A Deadly Encounter
Two dark silhouettes appeared on the horizon. They were moving fast—too fast. Noah squinted. “They’re not Coast Guard,” he said, his voice dropping low. His stomach turned as the figures grew closer. “Pirates,” he whispered, his worst fears confirmed. The boats, fast and unmarked, closed in on the stranded seaplane, their figures waving their arms, shouting in an unknown language.

“Jamie,” Noah said urgently, “we have company.”
The pirates circled, their engines roaring, sending spray flying into the air. They were closing in on the stranded plane. With no escape, the pilots knew that the next few minutes would be crucial. They didn’t have weapons or any way to defend themselves. Their only hope was to outsmart the pirates and stall until the Coast Guard arrived.
Noah looked at Jamie. “Do you have any ideas?” he asked, trying to hide the panic in his voice.
Jamie took a breath. “We don’t fight them,” he said. “We work with what we’ve got. Let’s make them think we’re in worse shape than we are.”
