The Ingenious Plan: Outwitting the Pirates
In the midst of their desperation, a plan started to form. As the pirates approached, the pilots pretended to panic. They moved quickly, making the plane appear as if it were sinking. Noah deliberately let the nose of the plane dip low, sending out signals of distress. Jamie fumbled with the radio, transmitting fake emergency calls in an effort to confuse their attackers.
The pirates slowed as they neared, seemingly unsure of what to make of the situation. As they circled, Noah and Jamie, using every ounce of their combined ingenuity, kept up the act. They couldn’t afford to show weakness now.
Then, like a gift from above, the Coast Guard arrived. A loud roar from the distance—the sound of a helicopter—sent the pirates into a panic. Without warning, they turned and fled, disappearing back into the horizon.
