The Pain That Wouldn’t Stop
It started with nausea — the same kind she’d fought during her pregnancy. But this time, it was worse. Much worse.
Her body ached, her legs trembled, and the sharp pain in her stomach grew stronger every day. Soon, she could barely stand.
“I just thought it was normal recovery pain,” Lily later said. “But deep down, I knew something was wrong.”
A Mother’s Fear
Lily refused to go to the hospital at first. With two newborns to care for, she couldn’t imagine leaving them.
“What if I had to stay overnight?” she asked her husband tearfully. “Who will feed the babies? Who will rock them to sleep?”
But by the end of that week, she could hardly walk. Her skin turned pale, her lips trembled with every breath, and Pradeep knew — they couldn’t wait any longer.
He called his parents to care for the twins and rushed Lily to the hospital.
