THE CONFRONTATION
David stormed into the bedroom. Jennifer screamed, stepping back from Emily.
Emily stood there, frozen, her feet touching the carpet for the first time in years in front of her father.
“David! I… I was just helping her stretch!” Jennifer gasped.
“I saw it all on the cameras, Jennifer,” David roared. “Every disgusting word.”
He saw the realization hit Jennifer’s face. She didn’t apologize. She collapsed into a heap, sobbing about how “lonely” she was when he worked.
“You turned our daughter into a prisoner because you were bored?” David’s voice was a whisper of pure venom.
He called the police, but more importantly, he called the one person who had told him the truth.
But the story didn’t end with an arrest.
David had one more debt to pay.
